| 01 | Once you’ve reached out to us we’ll schedule a video, telephone, email or in-person consult to chat about your scope, timeline, budget etc for your custom jewelry project. |
| 02 | If you decide to move forward with your custom jewelry project, we charge a design fee that covers 3-4 unique design directions, all the revisions to get to the final design, the CAD design and the final rendering. |
| 03 | Once the final design and rendering has been approved by you we put the project into production. We require half down once the project enters production. |
| 04 | Your design is then cast, the stones are set and the piece goes into final finishing. Once your project is finished, the remaining balance is paid and we can either ship it to you, or you can pick it up in our Boulder, Colorado store. |

How is customizing in-stock rings different from custom rings?
Customizing an in-stock ring means starting with one of our existing designs and making small adjustments—like changing the metal, swapping the center stone, or resizing—to make it your own.
A custom ring, on the other hand, is fully bespoke. We design it from the ground up based on your story, inspiration, and style preferences. This process includes concept sketches, gemstone sourcing, CAD renderings, and final production—resulting in a one-of-a-kind piece made exclusively for you.
How long does it take to make a custom ring?
Our typical custom timeline is 6–8 weeks from your design consultation to completion. This includes time for sketches, CAD modeling, casting, stone setting, and polishing.
If your design requires special gemstone sourcing, engraving, or complex details, we’ll provide an updated timeline during your consultation so you know exactly what to expect.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes! Most custom and made-to-order rings require a 50% deposit to begin production, with the balance due when your ring is finished—typically in 4–5 weeks.
We also offer Affirm financing at checkout, with options to Pay in 4 or choose monthly installments over 3–48 months.
You’re welcome to combine multiple payment methods—debit, credit, Affirm, or scrap metal credit—and we’ll structure your payments in the way that works best for you.
Are the rings suitable for daily wear?
Yes—our engagement rings are designed with durability and craftsmanship in mind. However, every ring’s long-term wearability depends on the metal, setting style, and gemstones you choose.
We’ll guide you toward designs and materials that align with your lifestyle. For example, bezel or low-profile settings are great for active wearers, while delicate pavé styles may require more mindful care.
Regular cleaning and annual prong checks (complimentary through our Limited Lifetime Manufacturer’s Warranty) will keep your ring secure and sparkling.
How do I find my ring size?
If you’re local, we recommend visiting our Boulder studio for a professional ring sizing—it’s the most accurate way to ensure a perfect fit.
If you’re shopping from afar, we can send a complimentary ring sizer or schedule a video consultation to walk you through sizing questions in real time. We consider sizing to be one of the most important aspects of creating the perfect engagement ring, and we want you to feel completely confident before your piece goes into production.
Keep in mind that temperature, time of day, and even hydration can affect fit, so it’s best to measure when your hands are at a comfortable, neutral temperature.
Can I reuse a family diamond in a new ring?
Absolutely. We love breathing new life into heirloom stones through modern settings. Our team will inspect your diamond to ensure it’s in good condition for resetting, then design a new piece that honors its history while reflecting your style.
We handle heirloom materials with the same care and precision as newly sourced stones—and will provide guidance on design compatibility, stone security, and potential refinishing if needed.
